Andorra is one of the smallest countries of the European continent, occupying the sixth position in a top of the small nations. The surface of the country is of only 468 sq km (181 sq mi). The location of the small nation is on the border of the two larger countries, Spain and France. Another important border located in the region is created through the chain of the Pyrenees Mountains. The capital of the country is called Andorra la Vella and it is the highest elevated capital in Europe, at 1,023 meters (3,356 ft). The main language that is used in the territory, and which is also listed as official nation language, is Catalan.
